Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk through PT Adaro Indonesia and Adaro Foundation (YABN) launched Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program for early childhood at Satu Atap Kasiau Kindergarten, Tabalong District, South Kalimantan.
YABN Chairperson Zuraida Murdia Hamdie said Adaro is committed to improving the quality of education and health of early childhood in its operational areas sustaianably and the company had inked MoU with the local government as a pilot project to support the national strategis program of MBG.
The MBG program began from early childhood education (PAUD) or kindergarten fostered by Adaro spread around its operational areas.
"We launch first free nutritious meal for early childhood education (PAUD), one of which is the best and most cooperative Kasiau Kindergarten, so it is easy to collaborate," said Zuraida here on Saturday.
Adaro will then look for the best project model, so that the MBG target will be larger and assistance will be consistently provided until December 2025.
Children's physical growth and development will be a factor that Adaro pays close attention to in MBG project.
Secretary of Tabalong Education Office M Hasbi appreciated the support of Adaro and partners in providing free nutritious food for early childhood.
This MBG program is expected to be continuous as expressed by Principal of Satu Atap Kasiau Kindergarten Gusti Narela.
In addition to Zuraida, PT Adaro Indonesia representativeZulfadeli Rahman and Kasiau Village Head Rahmad Fauzi also attending and symbolically handed over 24 packages of meals to Satu Atap Kasiau Kindergarten.
This program is run through empowerment-based scheme, using local food ingredients and prepared by catering providers located around the school.
Every food provided has passed nutritional control according to national health standards, to ensure the right nutritional content for children.
