Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (Indocement) Tarjun Plant 12 Factory Complex, Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan Province, held a Voluntary Teaching Season 2 program at SMA and SMP Terbuka (Open Junior and Senior High School) in Langadai Village, Kotabaru.
General Manager of PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk for Tarjun Plant Agus Fahri Rasad said the teaching program is held on every Saturday at 08.00 WITA by teaching English language, mathematic, Chemistry, and information and Communication Technology.
"The program is provided for 41 junior high school students (grade 7, 8, and 9) and 36 senior high school students (grade 10, 11, and 12). It also provides additional learning," he said in Kotabaru, Tuesday.

Employees from various department were involved, namely I Wayan Kedep Sudiarta (SHECSR), Ihwan (MCC), Achmad Zakaria (Supply), Resta Juliansyah (QC), Muhammad Noor Reyhan Adha (Production), Arya Maulana Syaifudin (Mining), Aldi Ahmad (MIS), and Rommy Septiyandy (Production).
The Langadai Village Open Junior High School and Senior High School Principal Sudarmuji, S.Pd. appreciated the company's initiative. He hopes this program to provide a positive impact on improving the quality of education in his school.
General Manager Agus Fahri Rasad through Eva Ariani as SHECSR Dept. Head said the activities were parts of Indocement teaching program of Pillar of Eduation that aims to improve the quality of education in the community around the company according to SDG’S No 4.
Indocement is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia that produces Semen Tiga Roda, Semen Rajawali, Mortar Tiga Roda, and Semen Grobogan.
Currently Indocement and its subsidiaries are engaged in several businesses including manufacturing and selling cement (core business), ready mix-concrete, as well as aggregate and trass mining, with a total 4,400 employees.
Indocement operates 14 own factories as well as two factories and one grinding mill on rental basis with a total annual capacity of production 33.5 million tons of cement.
