Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Energy Indonesia rolled out #HidupkanHati or Ignite Heart program by distributing 1,067 packages of basic needs assistance to poor or underprivileged residents in the tip of the islands of Kotabaru District, South Kalimantan Province.
Adaro collaborates with Rumah Zakat and LKBN ANTARA South Kalimantan Bureau to distribute thousands of basic needs in its operational areas, including Kotabaru, to mark its 32nd annivercary.
Rumah Zakat Kotabaru Coordinator Syakir here on Monday said 1,067 packages of basic food are distributed to five villages in two sub-districts in Kotabaru.
It covers Tepian Balai Village in Pulau Laut Barat Sub-district to receive 169 packages, then four village in Pulau Laut Tanjung Selayar Sub-district, namely Gosong (195 packeges), Tata Mekar (234 packeges), Kampung Baru (235 packeges), and Teluk Tamiyang (234 packeges).
"Many residents feel cared for and really helped by the assistance from Adaro," said Syakir.

He said both Adaro Energy Indonesia and Adaro Group companies often provides assistance at certain moment, such as Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitri, Adaro's anniversary.
Residents, according to Syakir, hope that assistance from Adaro to continue, both for basic food packages and other needs.
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries in Tepian Balai Vilage, Hairiah, acknowledged how happy she was to receive the package from Adaro.
"We are very grateful to PT Adaro for helping residents with their daily needs," said Hairiah.
She said basic food assistance was very beneficial for families who experiencing economic hardship. "With this assistance, the money we have can be used fo other needs," she said.
Hairiah is a mother of three children, but her first child has a disability. She works as laborer and has to go down the mountain carrying one of her children to look for necessities every day.
Entering its 32nd age, Adaro distributed a total of 27.000 packages of basic food across 176 locations in Indonesia, including Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan.
Adaro has been working with Rumah Zakat in distributing basic food to underprivilaged people. It is recorded that Adaro distributed 21,695 packages in 168 locations in 2022, 25,000 packages in 199 locations in 2023, and 27,000 packages in 176 locatitons in 2024.
