Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District, South Kalimantan, was again awarded with Innovative Government Award (IGA) as the Most Innovative District by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tuesday (Dec 12, 2023).
This is the fifth times in a row that the ministry bestowed IGA award to HSS. Acting HSS Regent Hermansyah received the award from Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian.
He was accompanied by the ranks of the Regional Development Planning, Research and Development Office (Bappelitbangda) when attending the awarding ceremony at the Sasana Bhakti Praja Building of the Home Affairs Ministry in Jakarta.
"Our success of winning IGA is a proof that the innovation we appy can provide more effective services for the community," Hermansyah noted in press statement released by HSS Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo).

He said this is the government commitment to increase the region's competitiveness and public service quality through innovative strategy.
“Hopefully this momentum can make HSS District even more innovative, so it continue to provide the best services for the people of Bumi Rakat Mufakat (nickname of HSS),” he hopes.
South Hulu Sungai this year presents as many as 100 innovation, with the leading innovations are SIHAPOK and GEBRAK SEHATI.
HSS had received IGA from the Ministry of Home Affairs for five consecutive years as the "Most Innovative District" from 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
The district was considered capable of responding to challanges by launching various innovations, which in their implementation provided better and more effective services to the public.
