Kandangan, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) District Communication and Informatics Office (Diskominfo) Hj Rahmawaty represented acting HSS Regent has received the 2023 Urban Public Service Maturity award certificate from Home Affairs Ministry.
Hj Rahmawaty received the award handed over by Director General of Regional Administrative Development of Home Affairs Ministry Syafrizal ZA in Jakarta, Tuesday (November 28, 2023) when attending the Dissemination of Government Regulation (PP) on Urban Affairs.
"We are very grateful that HSS District is one of the districts (in Indonesia) that received the 2023 Urban Public Service Maturity award certificate from Home Affairs Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia," Rahmawaty noted in a press statement released by HSS Diskominfo from Jakarta, Thursday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs awarded HSS with the award for recognition of its Smart City implementation.
The Urban Service Maturity award is awarded based on the Decree of Minister of Home Affairs No. 600.3-486 of 2023 to districts and cities that met the requirements.

Rahmawaty hopes that in the future HSS District, who has just received the smart city award for the category of M1 Pratama or bronze, will received the higher category. There are five category of the award, namely M2 or silver, M3 or gold, M4 platinum, and M5 diamond or paripurna.
Rahmawaty said that the HSS government continues to enhance its smart city in providing public services, as well as increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the regional government with the collaboration and coordination between agencies.
Previously, President Joko Widodo had stipulated Government Regulation (PP) No. 59 of 2022 concerning Urban Affairs as a mandate of Law No. 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government.
In general, the PP regulates the form and classification or urban along with the implementation of urban management which consists of planning, implementing, and controlling of the implementation of urban management.
The aim is to obtain the regional government index for the implementation of urban management using smart city approach.
The focus is in six issues, including education, health, social, public housing and residential areas, public works and spatial planning, as well as public order and community protection.
