Banjar, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The district government of Banjar together with the South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) are developing food security program through biofloc-based fish farming technology.
Banjar Regent H Saidi Mansyur expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between the South Kalimatan Police, business community and community organization, which he said reflects a spirit of gotong royong or mutual cooperatin to achieve community independence and prosperity.
"I hope the assistance provided can be managed well and sustainably under the leadership of Tuan Guru H Ahmad Zaini Zein. With spiritual and social support, and cross-sectoral collaboration, insya Allah (God Willing) Banjar District will further advance," he said.

The Regent emphsized the Banjar government's commitment to supporting programs oriented to community needs, in line with the district's vision as a developed, independent and competitive region.
South Kalimantan Regional Police Inspector General Rosyanto Yuda Hermawan explained that biofloc technology is an efficient, environmentally friendly fish farming system suitable for limited land.
"I believe with togetherness, these biofloc ponds will develop into real example of collaboration-based food security," he said.
He added that the program is expected to bring blessings and a lasting positive impact on the people of South Kalimantan.
As an initial step, the Majelis Arsyadi Foundation in Dalam Pagar received an assistance of 20 biofloc ponds and 5,000 pangasius (patin) fish seeds from the South Kalimantan Regional Police in collaboration with PT Hasnur.
The handover ceremony was attended by Banjar Regent, the police chief, Chairman of Majelis Arsyadi foundation, Tuan Guru H Ahmad Zaini Zein, the leadership coordination forum (forkopimda), religious leaders, community leaders, and several invited guests.
