Martapura, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - The Government of Banjar District, South Kalimantan, was awarded the Urban Service Maturity award by the Ministry of Home Affairs for recognition of its Smart City implementation.
Regent of Banjar Saidi Mansyur received the award in the form of certificate in Jakarta, Tuesday (Nov 28, 2023), informed the Banjar Communication, Informatics, and Cryptography Office in a press statement, Wednesday.
"We receive the award from the Director General of Regional Administrative Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs Syafrizal ZA together with 31 regional heads of districts and cities in Indonesia," said Banjar Regent.
The Urban Service Maturity award is awarded based on the Decree of Minister of Home Affairs No. 600.3-486 of2023 to districts and cities that met the requirements.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to Allah), Banjar Regency Government has applied Smart City since 2019 and has been recognized its level of maturity or fulfillment of smart city standards according to SNI for smart cities," said Saidi.

Another region in South Kalimantan that also received the award of certificate was South Hulu Sungai (HSS), so only two out of 13 regions in South Kalimantan received the award.
Director General of Regional Administrative DevelopmentSyafrizal ZA wants the assessment of the indicators that have been verified by BSN and ISO to become most prestigious urban management.
"The prizes are big, because regional incentives are given with measures, tested indicators, data collection and presentations to decision makers regarding funding were also considered good," he said.
Syafrizal encouraged the recipients of award with this indicators to continue working on their regions to grow better in service so they get positive appreciation from the community.
