Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - For the third times, PT Adaro Indonesia will hold Adaro Soccer Festival (ASF) where 32 football schools (SSBs) from the provinces of South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and Central Kalimantan, to participate.
The soccer festival, which is scheduled to be held from September 30 to October 2, 2023, according to CRM Dept Head of PT Adaro Indonesia Djoko Soesilo is an opportunity to encourage community's sporting achievements.
"This year's participants are increasing to reach 32 SSBs. Hopefully this competition will contribute to improving people's sporting achievement, especially football," said Djoko in Tanjung, Wednesday.
Adaro Soccer Festival is targeting soccer schools, especially the age group of 12.
Djoko said the event will take place in Lok Batu Village, Batu Mandi sub-district, Balangan Regency, in partnership with SSB Batu Agung as the organizer.
SSB Batu Agung is a pride of Balangan. It has made many achievement both national and international level.
SSB Batu Agung was the first champion of 2017 Aqua Danone National Cup (AquaDNC) and represented Indonesia at the 2017 World Aqua Danone Nations Cup in New York, United States, and was ranked 8th in the world. In 2018, won the first champion at the 2018 Malaysian Champion Cup (Piala Kejohanan Malaysia 2018).
Chief Executive of Adaro Soccer Festival Aries Haryadi said that this big event organized by SSB Batu Agung and residents of Lok Batu Village will be attended by 480 players from 32 SSBs.
A number of preparation related to technical implementation of the competition have been made, including participants' houses to stay and consumption.
The organizing committee also collaborates with volunteers from Kampung Bola Lok Batu and empowering village community, so that the Adaro Soccer Festival has an impact on the local people economy.
"The Adaro Soccer Festival will be opened by Balangan Regent on September 30, 2023 and we express our appreciation for the community's support," said Djoko.
