Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 1008/Tabalong District Military Command (Kodim) is implementing the TNI Integrated Clean Water (TNI Manunggal Air Bersih) program targeting 10 villages to provide easy access to clean water as well as supporting the handling of stunting.
Commander of 1008/Tabalong Kodim Lt. Col. Czi Catur Witanto said that the target is areas with minimum clean water facilities.
"The availability of clean water really support our efforts in handling stunting,” said Catur here on Wednesday.
This year, the Army Chief of Staff's program is implemented in 10 villages, namely Pampanan, Kambitin, Madang, Pasar Panas, Nawin, Panaan, Teratau, Hapalah, Salikung, Garagata.
Catur hopes that the TNI program can run in harmony with the Tabalong District Government's program in an effort to eccelerate the reduction of stunting.

Previously, the inauguration of TNI Integrated Clean Water (TMAB) program was held in Kambitin Luar (Wikau) Village by constructing clean water facility in the form of drilled well to meet the need of reidents, especially during the dry season.
Kambitin Village resident, Karim Riyanto, said the drilling well assistance by Kodim 1008/Tabalong was provided since 2020 and now residents can access clean water more optimally.
“Before there were drilled wells, residents had difficulty getting clean water, especially during adry season," he said.
He said this program really helped the villagers, in particular support the reduction of stunting.
