Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Deputy Mayor of Banjarmasin Hermansyah states, Alfamart and Indomaret that have mushroomed here needs to be evaluated.
"We would do the inspection and evaluation of licensing of Alfamart and Indomaret. This is a form of disciplinizing modern market must conform to local regulations," he said at City Hall, Tuesday.
He stated this a response of the new leaders in the capital of the province to the complaints of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) delivered through the Cooperatives and SMEs Agency.
"Naturally there is jealousy of SMEs to modern stores, because its existence is considered uncontrollable and no cooperation build with local SMEs," he said.
Hermansyah said Government does not prohibit the existence of modern stores, but must be arranged properly according to local regulations, and their presence should also support local community efforts.
"Do not turn off the existence of local community businesses. There should be empowering to SMEs from these modern stores, isn't it so," he said.
More importantly, said the former member of South Kalimantan assembly, the market or modern shop site must comply with local regulations, which is 500 meters away from the traditional markets.
"Well, we will examine one by one, whether it is fulfilling. We evaluate for our good," he said.
Earlier, Head of Cooperatives and SMEs Agency Eko Priyo M expressed the need for the Alfamart and Indomaret to be evaluated. Because, he said, many complaints from SMEs about how free these two minimarket, and not even provide a place for local products.
