Martapura, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent of Banjar Saidi Mansyur handed over medical equipments to some community health centers (puskesmas) in a bid to prevent stunting so as to reduce the number of children with growth failure in the district.
"We hand over health equipment to five puskesmas head to mark the 2022 National Nutrition Day," said the regent after the handing over of assistance at the Barakat Hall, Martapura, Monday.
The recipients were Head of Astambul Puskesmas Bahrian Nor, acting Head of Martapura Timur Puskesmas Akhmad Baidawi, Head of Martapura Barat Puskesmas Irfan Maulana, Head of Sungai Tabuk 1 Puskesmas Mustika Murni, and Head of Sungai Tabuk 2 Puskesmas Hartati Rahmini.
According to Banjar Health Office Yasna Khairina the assistance provided was in line with her office program to reduce stunting.
"We hope that the assistance of equipment will enable officers who take measures of height, length, and weight will be more accurate, so we can intervene early if stunting is found," she said.
Assistance Manager for Fund Marketing of PT Bank BRI Martapura Branch Novrida Ariyanti said the distribution of assistance to prevent stunting was carried out throughout Indonesia.
The assistance provided consisted of anthropometric kit bags, digital babyscales, body fat scales, height measuring devices, baby length measuring instruments, arm circumference measuring, and thermo standing.
