Barabai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Narcotics Unit Police seeks to uncover interregional and interdistricts crytal methamphetamine trafficking networks.
Head of the Narcotics Unit Iptu Nurhidayat here on Wednesday said, the circulation of drugs in the HST has now been entered into the outposts, so that the whole community must always alert against the entry of the illicit goods.
The entry of crystal meth to the area was proved by the discovery of evidence in the form of five packets of narcotics types of crystal meth weighing 26 grams coming from suspect Ancah (40), a resident of Munti Raya, Barabai.
"We managed to catch the suspect together with the evidence in the Village Mandingin, Sub-district of Barabai, in the woods at 02:00," he said.
Although it had disposed by the suspect, but police managed to find the illicit goods around the capture site.
"Now, all the evidence has been destroyed by police to prevent not desirable things," he said.
Destroyed evidence, he said, is from crystal meth trafficking networking between districts among others from North Hulu Sungai (HSU), which was brought by Ulah (25), resident of Amuntai.
Based Ancah's information , police managed to catch Ulah in the village of Jumba, Sub-district of South Amuntai, HSU. From Ulah, police seized 10 packages of crystal meth wrapped in a clear plastic clip, and stored in a cigarette box.
