"We express our gratitude and high appreciation to the Balangan Coal Group for distributing logistics to people in need," said the acting head of the agency H Rahmi here on Tuesday.
The assistance in the form of rice, cooking olil, Indomie, chicken eggs, sardines, tea, sugar and coffee, said Rahmi, is distributed according to condition and request in the field.
"Currently some areas are flooded, including Juai Sub-district, which is quite severe," he said.
All areas that were inundated by the flood will be covered by the agency, including distributing the existing logistic supplies.
"We have calculated the logistic material at the BPBD. Hopefully, by the end of the year we can cover all areas affected by the flood," he said.
In addition to basic food assistance, he said, Balangan Coal Group also readied personnel as volunteers to respond to disasters when needed.
Meanwhile, the External Relation Division Head of Balangan Coal Group Thoha said that this assistance is a form of the company's concern for the community as a support in dealing with the current disaster.
"The management of Balangan Coal Group as part of the community component is concerned and hope that this assistance can ease the burden of the people affected by the flood," said Thoha.
