Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Adaro Metcoal Companies (AMC) through its subsidiary PT Maruwai Coal sent eight village-owned enterprises (BUMDes) administrators in their operational areas to participate in integrated agricultural training and internships in Klaten, Central Java.
This is a form of synergy that AMC has built since 2019 and strengthens the capacity of BUMDes Batu Batuah and BUMDes Penda Siron Jaya in Barito Tuhup Raya District and Laung Tuhup District, Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan.
At the same time, to realize a participatory integrated agriculture program by making BUMDes one of the centers for integrated agricultural development oriented to agribusiness and agro-tourism.
AMC Community Development Section Head Sri Armiyati Jarkasi said BUMDES administrators underwent integrated agricultural training and internships at PT Kepurun Pawana Indonesia.
"We hope that there will be a transfer of knowledge related to integrated agricultural management which is now being carried out by two BUMDes," explained Sri Armiyati, who is familiarly called Mimi.
BUMDes Batu Batuah is doing patchouli and vanilla cultivation, while horticultural cultivation is being carried out by BUMDes Penda Siron Jaya.

The Director of BUMDes Batu Batuah Jumarto expressed his gratitude to AMC for facilitating this training.
"Since the beginning, AMC has existed to build synergy in the development of economic programs and has always consistently guided us as a local entity to continue to innovate in running business startups, especially patchouli cultivation," said Jumarto.
The village head of Batu Tojah (Londan) admitted that this activity opened his insight and understanding of BUMDes management to make policies and strategies in determining the type of sustainable business.
"So far, we think capital strength is the main determining factor in running a business, but it turns out to be the opposite," he said.
