Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - A total of 14 child inmates proposed to receive remissions on National Children's Day July 23, 2015.
According to the Head of Corrections Division of South Kalimantan Regional Office of the Ministry of of Law and Human Rights Harun Sulianto on Wednesday, 14 child prisoners who proposed were of maximum age of 12 years. They were spread in some correctional institutions.
"We already submit a proposal for granting remission for 14 children to the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights," he said.
They who were proposed are six inmates of Children Prison Martapura, two inmates of Pelaihari Prison, three inmates of Kandangan Prisons, two inmates from Marabahan Prison, and one prisoner from the Tanjung detention.
"But a little problem in obtaining remission they required to have birth certificates. Just to note most of the child inmates in this area do not have," he explained.
Harun said, giving special remission for inmates of children at the National Children's Day is their right as citizens of the inmates who had qualified well behaved during in prisons.
