First day face-to-face learning applies good and correct health protocols

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Banjarmasin Education Office assessed that face-to-face learning on the first day of its implementation has followed the health protocols properly and correctly to avoid COVID-19.

"Our monitoring on the implementation of face-to-face learning today in schools, all have applied health protocols properly and correctly," said Head of Junior High School Coaching of the Education Office Sahnan, Monday.

Sahnan hopes that compliance to consistently and become a habit for students in schools with intervention from various parties, especially teachers and parents. 

"Hopefully it will continue to be applied, so they are accustomed to apply health protocols," he said.

Sahnan advised the teachers to continue to intervene and appeal to students, such as asking them to go straight home when school over.

"This is for the sake of student safety. There must be cooperation between teachers and parents," he insisted.

Meanwhile, in the state junior high school SMPN 22 on the first day of face-to-face learning it was seen that health protocols were strictly implemented, from the availability of washing hands facilities, checking body temperature, and limiting students in the classroom.

Deputy Principal for Curriculum of SMPN 22 Banjarmasin Hadimi explained that in implementing face-to-face learning the school has obtained permission from all parents, especially for grade 9. 

"We also provide all room with sink (wastafel) inside and outside for washing hands," he said.

"Our students are required to wear mask and should not be negligent in carrying out health protocols, as requested in the Banjarmasin City Government circular," he said.

According to him, the students who attend face-to-face learning only of grade 6 (SD or elementary school) and grad 9 (SMP or junior), because they will undergo the final exam on March 29 for SMP and April 5 for SD.

For the implementation of face-to-face learning, all teachers were vaccinated against COVID-19.
