Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is confirmed to come to inaugurate the national strategic project (PSN) of Tapin Dam in Pipitak Jaya Village, Piani Sub-district, Tapin District, South Kalimantan.
"(The President) is confirmed to come to inaugurate the Tapin Dam," said Tapin Regent HM Arifin Arpan as reported on Wednesday.
Jokowi will arrive by helicopter in Piani and head straight to Tapin Dam on Thursday, February 18, 2021. After the inauguration, he is scheduled to continue his trip to Central Hulu Sungai (HST) District.

"I will later welcome the President to the helipad and bring him to the meeting at the inauguration ceremony. The rehearsal will be held on Wednesday," he said.
The people of Tapin are eagerly awaiting RI 1's arrival, said Arifin, but the tight security and the pandemic situation have made his intention forgone to convey a clear situation of Tapin.
The same thing occurs to the indigenous society of Dayak who intends to give a distinctive welcome to Jokowi.
"President Joko Widodo will be Tapin in a maximum of one hour, after that he will go to Central Hulu Sungai (HST) to see the impact of flood," he said.
