Martapura, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Ministry of Transportation appreciates Banjar District Government for its policy in the environmental governance that awarded a national achievement, Adipura Kencana 2014.
Regent Banjar, Khairul Saleh, here on Wednesday said, the appreciation by vertically agency was presented by Assessment Team of Wahana Tata Nugraha from the Ministry of Transportation who visited Martapura City on Tuesday.
"Our arrival, besides a visit also to see the governance of transportation and traffic that has been prepared by Banjar District," said Chairman of the Assessment Team of Wahana Tata Nugraha JE Wahjuningrum.
According to her, the traffic system in Banjar has been professionally managed by promoting the comfort, safety and feasibility of traffic for people and goods transport. This can be seen from the cooperation that exists in harmony with the police in addition to the completeness of road infrastructure that meets the requirements of traffic.
She said the most important factor for creating traffic governance in accordance with the development of the city is an integrated terminal management and safe as well as easy on community access.
"We were confident Banjar District going into the viable town of nexus, because it has been equipped with environmentally friendly transport systems and promoting safety and comfort of the community," she said.
Regent Banjar, Khairul Saleh said it is ready to run suggestions submitted by the assessment team and complete infrastructure, thus becoming the nexus of the city proper, especially in South Kalimantan.
