Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Sjamsudin Noor Air Base Commander (Danlanud) Col.Pnb M. Taufiq Arasj made a friendly visit to Regent of HSS H Achmad Fikry and at the same time handed over the aid of personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical tools for the District Hospital of Brigjend H H Hasan Basry Kandangan.
He said, it was the form of the first silaturrahmi to the Regent of HSS, because in nearly six months as Danlanud he planned to visit HSS, but was hampered by the plague of COVID-19.
"At the same time we handed over caring assistance from elements of the community, TNI, Polri, local government in synergy with the social observers," he said on Monday (July 13, 2020) at the HSS Regent's office.
He explained that the community elements were from the Media Group Foundation through Dompet Kemanusiaan (Humanitarian Donation) and JNE in collaboration with Syamsudin Noor Air Base to channel PPE assistance.
The assistance aims to support and encourage medical staff who are struggling endlessly to care for patients exposed to COVID-19.
“Hopefully this assistance would be useful for Kandangan Hospital in HSS district. The regent also said that it will be distributed to puskesmas (community health centers) till the smallest clinics in HSS," he said.
Regent H Achmad Fikry express his gratitude, because it was an honor to get a visit from the Air Base Commander as well as handed over aid for Kandangan Hospital.
He acknowledged that PPE is now urgently needed to protect health workers and this is very beneficial for their health protection, because medical workers work day and night knowing no time.
