Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported the balance of trade in the province, both during April and January-April 2014 had a surplus.
For example, trade balance in April 2014 had a surplus of 445.00 million US dollars, said the province BPS Chief Dyan Pramono Effendi here on Monday.
Similarly, trade balance from January to April 2014 had a surplus of 2.05 billion US dollars, he said in a press conference at the BPS office on Jalan KS Tubun, Banjarmasin.
"The trade surplus in April 2014 was based on the difference between the value of exports amounted to 709.90 million US dollars to the value of imports 264.91 million US dollars," he said.
In particular, the April 2014 value of exports down 15.37 percent compared to March 2014 which reached 838.88 million US dollars.
Similarly, compared with the value of exports in April 2013 which reached 723.33 million US dollars, then in April 2014 decreased by 1.86 percent.
In contrast to the value of imports in April 2014 amounted to 264.91 million US dollars, up 35.50 percent compared to March 2014 which recorded 195.50 million US dollars.
