Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - A tree lovers community planting thousands of nut trees (locally known as Pinang) in the City of Banjarbaru and in Banjar District, South Kalimantan.
Chairman of tree lovers groups, Drs Akhmad Arifin, said to Antaranews in Banjarmasin on Wednesday, the nut planting took place on May 18, 2014.
The first planting was done from the median road of Trikora, Banjarbaru, to the three intersection of Cempaka as many as 1,500 trees. Nut seedlings two years old, planted one meter high, and distance between trees three meters.
