Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan Governor H Rudy Ariffin revealed, the province's Gross Regional Domestic Income (PDRB) during 2013 rose Rp7,5 trillion compared to 2012.
Based on current prices, the 2012 PDRB reached Rp75,89 trillion and it rose to Rp83,36 trillion in 2013, making an increase Rp7,5 trillion, he said in DPRD plenary session led by its chairman Colonel (Ret.) Nasib Alamsyah here on Monday.
"The increase in PDRB is due for 2013 of all economic sectors in the province consisting of 13 districts and cities grew quite positive, " he continued in his Accountability Report (LKPj) for fiscal year 2013.
The highest growth occurred in financial sector, rental and companies services by 10.24 percent, services sector 8.72 percent, trade, hotels and restaurants 8.52 percent, and 8.32 percent from construction sector.
Then transport and communications sector 6.85 percent, electricity and water sector 6.03 percent, 4.26 percent of the manufacturing sector, the agricultural sector contributed 2.57 percent, and the smallest from mining and quarrying 1.11 percent.
"Identical to 2012, in 2013 the tertiary sector grew better than the primary and secondary sectors," continued the two periods governor.
While growth in the construction sector is still driven by property and infrastructure development, both in the city of Banjarmasin and in other areas such as Banjarbaru, Banjar, Kotabaru and other districts.
While trade, hotels and restaurants that grow 8.52 percent in 2013 gave the biggest share in the economic growth of South Kalimantan, when its growth was 5.18 percent .
Of economic growth in South Kalimantan in 2013, as much as 1.39 percent contributed by trade, hotels and restaurants, while the mining and quarrying sector accounted for only 0.24 percent of economic growth.
