Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - As many as 3.400 VVIP and VIP guest were confirmed to attend the peak of the 2019 National Social Solidarity Day(HKSN) in South Kalimantan on Friday (Dec 20, 2019).
Secretary of South Kalimantan Social Agency Diyah Anur Yani said, the many delegates from all over Indonesia to attend made this year's HKSN to be the biggest and most lively event.
"Our target is a total of 15.000 people attend to enliven the series of HKSN activities in the city of Banjarbaru," she said at the press-conference in Banjarmasin, Wednesday (Dec 18, 2019).
Related to the news of the planned coming of President Joko Widodo or Vice President Ma'ruf Amien to the commemoration, Diyah said she was not dare to confirm, but in principle the committee is ready if they are willing to attend.
"It is a pride for the region if the leader of this country can attend," she pointed out.
At the event, Social Affairs Minister Juliari P. Batubara will present Satyalancana of Social Solidarity awards to regional heads who care for social welfare issues.
Minister will bestow the similar awards to observers of social welfare services who throughout 2019 have proven their dedication and concern for people in need.
The Social Solidarity Day, Diyah said, will be truly realized to reflect the togetherness of the whole level of society. HKSN commemoration is not only for people who engage in the social sector, but everyone can feel happy too.
"We therefore will involve 1.000 scouts, 1.000 teachers from IGTKI and PGRI, volunteers, Tagana, and others till milenial from school and university students who then perform a colossal dance of solidarity. Including 200 street vendors we also provide a place for them for selling until the event is really popular," she affirmed.
People can also attend exhibition to be held for three days from Friday to Sunday (Dec 10-12, 2019) at the office area of South Kalimantan Provincial Government. It contains information aboutvarious social service from Social Agencies throughout Indonesia.
As part of the 2019 HKSN, South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor led the cross border social solidarity (LBKS) journey across six districts.
At each of stopover of the six districts, the governor distributes environment assistances, such as assistance to KUB (joint enterprise group), basic food assistance, aids for people with disability, medical tools to hold free-mass circumcision.
HKSN is celebrated every December 20 as a way to preserve and develop values and practice social solidarity, so as to encourage the development of social welfare.
