Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The 32nd Quran Recitation Competition (MTQ) for the provincial level of South Kalimantan has began Sunday night (Nov 3, 2019) in Kotabaru.
As the host, Kotabaru, who claimed to have made a thoroughly preparation, targets to be in the big three in the competition.
The kafilahs (contingents) have arrived since Thursday (Oct 31, 2019), and finally all kafilah from 13 districts and cities in South Kalimantan gathered in Saturday.
Secretary of Kotabaru H Said Akhmad welcomed them with chairman of the committee Joni Anwar.
Joni Anwar said, the committee have done the preparation thoroughly in all part of the event, from the main venue, accomodation places for participants, till other technical things.

Even, the secretary told that Kotabaru hal also prepared the facilities for transportation and recreation. He said, the district have some places of attraction.
"Any kafilah later want to go for a tour, we have prepared transportation to several object of tourism, such as Gedambaan Beach, Mamake Mountain, peak of Meranti Forest, an others," Said pointed out.

Joni also acknowledged that the preparation including the facilities of tour for participant of the event which is held from 3 to 9 November 2019.
He declared that the MTQ in Kotabaru has been prepared to be different from others. Tne main stage, for example, took place at Siring Laut attraction in the city with the scenery of sea as the background.
With its maximum preparation, including intensive training for its Quran reciters (qari and qariah), the Kotabaru target to be in the big three in the 32nd MTQ.
