Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The South Kalimantan Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the province's value of exports in June 2013 was 717.16 million US dollars (USD) or down 15.01 percent compared to May 2013 which reached 843.84 million USD.
While compared with exports in June 2012 that reached 831.55 million USD, the value of South Kalimantan exports last month fell 13.76 percent, says the head of the provincial BPS Iskandar Zulkarnain here on Thursday.
The biggest export in June 2013 was the group of mineral fuels with a value of 605.24 million USD followed by groups of fats and oils of animal/plant 70.76 million USD, as well as groups of ores, slag and ash metal 17.55 million USD.
Main export destination countries of South Kalimantan to China with value 325.50 million USD, to India 162.68 million USD and Japan 120.73 million USD.
While the value of imports recorded 209.20 million USD in June 2013 up 16.80 percent compared to May 2013 when it reached 179.11 million USD.
The main commodities imported in June 2013 was mineral fuels with value 196.84 million USD. Then a group of ships 8.33 million USD and machines/mechanical equipment 1.10 million USD.
The main supplier countries namely Singapore with a value of imports 105.13 million USD, then 60.79 million USD from Malaysia and Taiwan 34.58 million USD.
