Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, 22/7 (Antaranews) - Central government's efforts to stabilize the price of imported meat in the country has not affected the price of meat in South Kalimantan, which since the beginning of the fasting month rises from Rp70 thousand per kilogram to Rp110 thousand.
Head of South Kalimantan Industry and Trade Agency Farida Wariansi here on Monday said, the price of meat in Jakarta is still high, then the price of meat in South Kalimantan will not go down.
"Traders meat in the area will take the benchmark in Jakarta, so long as in Jakarta is still high, it is not going to go down in the province," she said.
Related to the entry of imported meat, added Farida, until now none has entered into the traditional market. If only it entered, usually it goes to supermarket or other modern markets.
But she added, specifically imports meat which is now managed by Bulog, it has not reached South Kalimantan.
