Four haj prospective passed away before leaving

Four pilgrims from South Kalimantan on the list of haj prospective pilgrims who are scheduled to leave for Hajj in 2019 passed away before the departure time arrives to the Holy Land.


Head of the South Kalimantan Office of Ministry of Religious Affair H Noor Fahmi here said on Tuesday the pilgrims died before entering the hajj dormitory were Riduan Syahrani Kaling (58) from South Hulu Sungai, Hanil Ibus Alihusin (56) from Tapin, Habir Abdul Akil bin Abdul Akil (84) from Tanah Bumbu, and Muliani Mukeri Abbas (75) from Central Hulu Sungai.

"They have registered to leave by paying off the costs of hajj departure so that it cannot be replaced," he said.

In addition, until the departure of pilgrims from the 9th flight group, the Regional Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs listed nine pilgrims delayed going to the Holy Land because of illness.

"If they are declared eligible for departure, they will be included in the next flight group, but still see the availability of seats," Noor Fahmi said.

Banjarmasin Hajj Embarkation, he explained, has now dispatched nine pilgrimage flight groups consisting of 2,909 people.

Overall, this year's Banjarmasin Hajj Embarkation will dispatch 13 pilgrim flight groups consisting of 4,136 people from South Kalimantan and six pilgrimage groups consisting of 1,920 people from Central Kalimantan.

"We pray together, hopefully our candidates can be fluent in carrying out their worship there, be healthy until they return to the country," said Noor Fahmi.
