Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tiga Roda cement industry, Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk Plant Tarjun together with the Kotabaru district government anticipated clean water crisis in the coastal areas, especially Tarjun Village, Kelumpang Hilir Sub-district.
"We should thank the South Kalimantan Provincial Government for implementing the community based water supply and sanitation (Pamsimas) program, which is supported by the company by building embung (retention basins) as a raw water source," said Indocement management representative H Nor Imansyah in Kotabaru, Sunday.
Imansyah hopes, that the Pamsimas program, which is collaborated with Indocement with the construction of reservoirs and the supply of cement materials, to be utilized properly to meet the needs of clean water for all communities around.
The companion of Pamsimas Kotabaru in the Tarjun Village area, Abdullah, added that the program would certainly help the community in fulfilling clean water needs.
"Some time ago we from Pamsimas together with Indocement, village officials and the community had reviewed the location, and the results were very good that the water could be used for daily needs," Abdullah said.
After seeing the embung and water conditions physically meet the standards, either in taste, color and odor, laboratory tests will be carried out related to the content in the water.
"We and the community are greatly helped by Indocement who has built its physical body so it makes it easier for people to use it," he said.
