Kotabaru Expert Staff Johanuddin said that futsal is the most popular sport in the district.
He made his remarks here on Sunday (Nov 30, 2024) when sent off the district's futsal team for the South Kalimantan provincial competition (Kejurprov) to be held in Banjarbaru.
"Hopefully you all win the best achievement and make a good name of the beloved Kotabaru," said Johanuddin.
Head of the Kotabaru Tourism and Sports Sony Tua Halomoan advised all athletes to maintain stamina.

"Maintain solidarity, especially when competing, because it is how you measur the success of a match," he said.
Kotabaru futsal team is in the Group A. They will face futsal team from Tanah Bumbu and Tanah Laut districts.
Meanwhile, match schedule will be on December 3-7, 2024 at the Rudy Resnawan Sporthall (GOR) in Banjarbaru City.
This provincial competition will become first step for Kotabaru Futsal Association (Afkab) to prove if they improve their achievement in this sport.
It also a condition to contribute to prestigious provincial level sports activities, the Provincial Sport Week (Porprov) next year.
