The Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar had received "Special Award for Outstanding Performance in Regional Development" at the Regional Leadership Award 2024 organized by iNews Media Group.
"This event is amazing, it gives us spirit. I express my gratitude for the assessment given to Kotabaru District. I dedicate this award to the people of Kotabaru," said the Regent in a press statement, Thursday (August 8, 2024).
MNC Group Executive Chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo said this award was given as a form of appreciation to regional heads who actively contribute to regional development.
"I congratulate all the winners of the award. Of course this is a pride for us all the nation of Indonesia," he expounded.

The Regional Leadership Award 2024, which was divided into eight categories awarded not only regional head.
The categories are poverty alleviation, development acceleration, bureaucratic reform, regional figure, regional economic improvement, tourism development, public services, regional innovation, strategic cooperation.
"All level of leadership in the region, even the TNI and Polri, that is why it is open to many leaders in this award," he said.
Regent H Sayed Jafar received the award for the category of innovative regional head in tourism development which has an impact on increasing the regional pure income (PAD).
The award was handed over directly by Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo.
Regent H Sayed Jafar was considered to have led Kotabaru for almost 10 years as having brought a lot of significant change and development in "Bumi Saijaan" (nickname of Kotabaru).
Various infrastructure is intensively being built, especially in tourism and agribusiness, in line with his vision and mission, that is to realize an increasingly independent and prosperous Kotabaru community through imrpovements in agribusiness and tourism.
The award handover was also attended by Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) H Bambang Soesatyo, Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas, Secretary General of Home Affairs Ministry Komjen Pol Tomsi Tohir, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo and all regional heads who received the award.
