Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Chairperson of the Kotabaru Family Welfare Empowerment Mobilization Teams (TP-PKK) Hj Suci Anisa Rusli attended immunization week and social service organized by the district Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI).
Head of Health Office Erwin Simanjuntak, who also attended the event, said he was proud that IBI here held this event to provide vaccination to toddlers to protect them from several diseases may arise in the future.
"We receive a report that IBI's social action will be carried out by all IBI members in Kotabaru," he said as reported on Friday.

Immunization for children is one of the main agenda to support the national immunization program to prevent diseases that can be prevent by vaccines/immunization.
He said immunization is also effort to reduce stunting.
"My hope is that mothers can continue this in the coming years by collaborating with Health office. This is one of vision and mission of Kotabaru Regent to improve Human Development Index (IPM) and also to remind people in Kotabaru," he said.
Head of IBI Kotabaru Hartati said IBI's 74th social service is carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia on April 23-29, 2025, coinciding with the World Immunization Week.
All midwives in Indonesia conduct immunization for babies who have not completed their basic immunization.
