PT PLN South and Central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit (PLN UID Kalselteng) until May 2024 has recorded electricity sales growth of 2,421.66 Giga Watt hour (GWh) or grew by 9.98 percent from the previos year.
General Manager of PLN South and Central Kalimantan Main Distribution Unit Muhammad Joharifin here on Monday said this success cannot be separated from the transformation by the state owned enterprices (BUMN) led by Erick Tohir.
"The transformation of BUMN under the command of Mr Erick Tohir has had a very positive impact. It has proven that PLN has succeeded in providing the best services to all customers and increasing trust," said Joharifin in a written statement.
Likewise, PLN's services are increasingly excellent, concise, responsive and effiscent through modernization and digitalization of its various business lines. One of the leading innovation was PLN Mobile.

"The number of customers in South and Central is around 2.3 million, with a majority being households and requiring broad coverage. However, through PLN Mobile, everything can be easier in one hand," he said.
The transformation of BUMN has resulted PLN customers satisfaction increasing in line with the increase in the number of electricity user, making PLN continues to be the main choice as electricity provider in Indonesia.
PLN UID Kalselteng succeeded in adding 42,882 customers, grew by 19.47 percent until May 2024 with customers in sector of industry contibuting the biggest to revenue, thus its revenue in 2024 reached IDR2,819.96 billion, increased by 10.33 percent compared to 2023.
"We are very grateful with the positive trend achieved by PLN, especially South and Central Kalimantan. All thanks to the support of policies and transformation initiated by SOE (BUMN) Ministry, hoping PLN's goal to be the Top 500 Global Company and the number 1 customer choice for energy solution will soon be achieved," he said.
