Head of Social Office of the Tapin District, South Kalimantan, Syamsi said a total fund of IDR1.7 billion is being ditributed as direct cash assistance (BLT-inflasi) to curb inflation.

"The distribution is carried out in two stages, and each beneficiary family receives IDR600,000," he said after monitoring the BLT-inflation distribution at the Tapin Utara Sub-district Office, Tuesday.

Syamsi said that the assistance targets people throughout the Tapin Regency who are in the very poor category.

"In the first stage IDR878,400,000 is distributed and IDR857,400,000 in the second stage," he said.

In the first stage, the cash assistance is distributed for beneficiary families (KPM) in Binuang (156), Karangan Putih (280), Raya Belanti (246), Tambarangan (126), Bitahan (100), Kupang (76),  Rangda Malingkung (167), Rantau Kanan (223) and Rantau Kiwa (90).

Then, in the second stage in Binuang (155), Karangan Putih (277), Raya Belanti (239), Tambarangan (120), Bitahan (96), Kupang (76), Rangda Malingkung (160), Rantau Kanan (220) and Rantau Kiwa (86).

"It has been distributed," said Syamsi.

Acting Regent of Tapin Syarifuddin asked all the recipient community to make the best use of this assistance.

"Hopefully this assistance can reduce the burden on the community," he said.
