Syamsudin Noor International Airport Stakeholder Relation Manager Ahmad Zulfian Noor said that smog covering a number of areas in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan, has so far not disrupted flights at the airport.
"Flight schedules are normal, no departure delays due to the haze," he said in Banjarbaru, Saturday.
Zulfian expounded, even though Banjarbaru was shrouded by smog Saturday morning, including in the airport area, visibility was still relatively normal.
"Visibility on the runway was normal reached 1.5 kilometers, so that aircrafts departure went smoothly without hindrance and all morning flights were on schedule," he pointed out.
Zulfian said from 06.00 to 08.00 WITA (Central Indonesia Time) three flights bound for Jakarta and three flights to Surabaya were smooth.

In anticipation of smog that can affect flight schedule, his party intensively communicate and coordinate with related parties, such as BMKG, AirNav and others.
"We always monitoring the haze and intensify communication and coordination with BMKG and Airnav, so we can anticipate things that can ndisrupt flight schedules," he said.
Head of South Kalimantan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Raden Suria Fadliansyah said his agency has so far have not received any information related to flight disruption or delays at Syamsudin Noor Airport due to smog.
He said Syamsudin Noor Airport area which is located inSyamsudin Noor Urban Village, Landasan Ulin Sub-district, Banjarbaru City, is in ring one or a priority of forest and land fire handling.
Acting Chief Execurtive of South Kalimantan BPBD Bambang Dedi Mulyadi said the agency continue to increase supervision and handling of haze caused by forest and land fires that hit a number of areas in the province.
BPBD has made various efforts to deal with forest and land fires which so far has affected areas of about 132 hectares.
