The Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD) finally approved the 2022 district's budget draft (RAPBD) of IDR1.3 trillion, after going through discussion among the legislators.

"The district's 2022 income and expenditure is decreased by IDR260 billion from IDR1.56 trillion that the executive had proposed to IDR1.3 trillion after discussions," said Kotabaru DPRD Speaker Sairi Mukhlis, as reported on Wednesday.

The decrease in the 2022 revenue occurred due to the central (government) transfer fund being generalized to all of Indonesia, as a consequence the Kotabaru's Regional Incentive Fund (DID) which was previously IDR35 billion became IDR1.5 billion or was reduced by IDR3 billion.

The decrease in the General Allocation Fund (DAU) seems to have occurred in almost all regions because the state's financial condition has adjusted so that it has an impact on the regional financial condition.
