Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Police increase the number of personnel serving in the field to maintain security and public order in the capital of South Kalimantan during Ramadan.
"The number of police on the ground a lot more than usual and we do so in order people feel safe and comfortable," said Chief Police Kombes Pol Wahyono MH in Banjarmasin on Saturday.
He said the increase of force in the field to keep the atmosphere in the city of "a thousand rivers" in a state of conducive along the month of Ramadan.
The number of police on the ground all involved are from sector police and function of the units is in the ranks of Banjarmasin City Police assisted by South Kalimantan Regional Police.
He said, with increasingly frequent the police were present in the midst of community will reduce the intent of perpetrators for action.
The personnel deployed in the field some are with uniform, while other only wear civil dress is to trick the perpetrators of crimes.
"We do all this for early detection so that all possibilities that could occur cound be anticipated," he said.
