As many as 55 tourism practitioners took part in the governance in tourism training organized by the Tapin Culture and Tourism Office at the Tapin Hotel, Rantau City.

Secretary of the office Hasanuddin said the training in governance was an effort by the local government to equip tourism practitioners in managing tourism in Tapin.

"We know there are many tourist attractions in Tapin, so it is necessary to properly manage and promote tourist destinations to attract tourists to come," he said.

The organizing committee Rahmi said that the 3 days training aimed to strengthen awareness of all elements about the importance of tourism development that can strengthen the people's economy.

"The development of public awareness, participation, and support in creating a climate that is conducive to fostering and developing tourism activities," she said.

She hoped the participants can understand and develop the knowledge provided in the training so that every tourism practitioners in Tapin will develop and progress.

The participants who took part in the training consisted of tour destination managers, business actors, novice entrepreneurs, tourism awareness groups, village officials, and other tourism activist groups.

In addition to providing materials, the participants were also brought directly to the field, such as to handcraft kaolin in Tapin Selatan, and river tour in Sungai Rangas Village, Banjar Regency.
