Tapin Deputy Regent H. Syafrudin Noor asked the local Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) to intensify blood donation social activities to meet blood shortages.

"Thus the bloodstock at the PMI is always available, and when our residents need it we can always provide it," he said in his remarks in the inauguration of the Tapin PMI board for the term service of 2020-2025, Thursday.

He emphasized that the availability of blood stock is very necessary at all health facilities, especially during emergencies, blood is very important and needed quickly.

"Especially now that the rainy season begins, dengue fever is surely threatening residents, so it is necessary to always have bloodstock," he said.

Deputy regent also reminded residents to continue to apply health protocol by wearing masks, keep distance, and washing hands in all activities outside the home.

"I have never tired to always reminding the public to always maintain health protocol to cut the spread of COVID-19," he said.

Chairman of the Tapin PMI H Dedy Arief Budiman stated his party will continue to improve performance to make PMI better and more active.
