Although the transmission of COVID-19 still occurs in Banjarmasin, but nearly 50 percent of positive patients in the capital city of South Kalimantan Province have recovered.
 
Data released by the South Kalimantan Task Force for the Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 on Tuesday (July 28, 2020) showed 125 patients recovered, and addition of 22 new confirmed positive cases on the same day, and one person died.

The total positive case in the city was 2.163, while the total recoveries was 1.003 orang, and the death toll 143.

Head of the Banjarmasin Health Office Machli Riyadi expressed his gratitude for the increasing number of recoveries from COVID-19.

"Alhamdulillah recovery continues to increase, it has reached a thousand," he said.

He hoped that the community would continue to comply with the health protocol to put an end of the transmission of the coronavirus maximally.

To eight of 52 urban villages that have been declared as green zones, he asked them to continue to maintain them.

"This is our joint war against coronavirus, all must be discipline to survive the pandemic," he said.
