South Kalimantan Task Force spokesperson for the COVID-19 acceleration Handling HM Muslim stated that the province has recorded 40,2 percent recovery or 2.034 of the total 5.083 cases.


According to him, the highly rate of COVID-19 recovery thanks to the hard and fast work of all health teams and task force in anticipating all the possibilities.

"Representing the government and community, I really appreciate the performance of the health teams and task force and all related parties until the COVID-19 patients recovering continue to increase," he said.

As of Tuesday (July 21, 2020), he said, 159 patient had recovered from COVID-19. They came from Tanah Laut quarantine 11, independent isolation Kotabaru 1, independent isolation Tapin 30.

Then, independent isolation Tabalong 50, independent isolation Tanah Bumbu 11, and independent isolation Banjarmasin 56.

But the number of positive patients increased by 93, as many as 78 were from asymptomatic cases.

The new positive cases came from Tanah Laut 3, Banjar 10, Barito Kuala 26, and Tapin 1.

Next South Hulu Sungai (HSS) 4, North Hulu Sungai (HSU) 1, Tanah Bumbu 1, Banjarmasin 37, and Banjarbaru 10.

While the new death toll was six, from Tanah Laut 2, Banjar 2, HSS 1, Banjarmasin 1.

The total positive patients were 5.083, as many as 2.792 were inpatient both at the hospitals or in independent quarantines, 2.034 had recovered and 257 died.

791 People Under Monitoring (ODP) and 353 Patients Under Surveillance (PDP).

Muslim hopes people continue to apply health protocol when doing their activities outside, avoid crowds, and always wear masks.
