As many as 148 of the total confirmed positive COVID-19 patients in Balangan, South Kalimantan, had declared recovered until Tuesday.
Regent of Balangan H Ansharuddin as the Chief of COVID-19 Task Force said that cumulatively the total patients had recovered had exceeded 50 percent of the total confirmed positive case in the district.
This, he continued, thanks to the alertness and persistence of the Task Force in making efforts to accelerate pandemic countermeasures, thus COVID-19 patients immediately got medical treatment.
"This is encouraging to hear many patients have recovered, and it is possible that patients who are being treated to recover soon," he said.
However, Ansharuddin reminded the citizens to remain alert to the threat of COVID-19 transmission and keep anticipating by wearing masks when outside home, keep social distancing, and maintaning good health by applying health protocol.
"It is boring and frustrating when every day we only hear information related to COVID-19 distribution, but that does not mean we surrender ourselves. We must fight together by continuing to comply with health protocol," he insisted.
