The Executive Chairman of Hospital Accreditation Committee (KARS) Dr dr Sutoto, M.Kes revealded that the success of Sultan Suriansyah Banjarmasin Hospital was a very rare achievement.
Dr Sutoto, when he presented the accreditation certificate of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital to Mayor of Banjarmasin H Ibnu Sina, at the Epicentrum, Jakarta, Monday (Dec 23, 2019), remarked that it was a very rare achievement for a newly operating hospital.
"This is an extraordinary achievement for a hospital that is only four months old," he pointed out.
The submission of the certificate was also attended by Head of Banjarmasin Health Agency Dr Machli Riyadi and Director of Sultan Suriansyah Hospital dr Sukotjo,
“Alhamdulillah, congratulation for Sultan Suriansyah Hospital that received a Madya with three stars accreditation,” H Ibnu Sina said after receieving the certificate.

Previously, KARS team led by dr Bernadette Eka A Wahjoeni M,Kes together with members Siti Masamah, Skep Ners, MMKes, and dr Dominica Herlijana,Sp.M,M.Kes, conducted accreditation survey on Sultan Suriansyah Hospital by applying National Accreditation Standards for Hospitals (SNARS) first Edition.
The survey was carried out for three days, December 9 to 11, 2019.

There are now 26 community health centers in the city of Banjarmasin and the existance of a hospital owned by the city government is needed for the improvement of health facility for all level of residents.
It is for that reason the municipal government made a better effort to win an accreditation for the hospital. Especially, Health Minister Regulation No.71 year 2013 requires an advanced health facility who wish to work with BPJS Kesehatan (the Healthcare and Social Security Agency) to gain an accreditation certificate from KARS.
