Indonesian Local Community (Malindo) in charge of empowering people economy focus on dry food suggested the City Government of Banjarmasin to develop dry food business for new entrepreneurs.


Chairman of Malindo Safaruddin at the government coordination meeting in the City Hall here, Monday (Dec 16, 2019) stated business opportunities are wide open for developing of news entrepreneurs in the city, while potentials exist around.

"There so many in Banjarmasin. I was at the market, about 50 types of potentials available here from fruit and vegetable," he remarked.

He showed what he bought from the market, bananas, pineapple, dragon fruit, spinach, and others. "All these are sold just like that. If they are processed with dry food technology they will increase people's income," he pointed out.

He appreciated  the city government for inviting Malindo to get a motivation, especially since the government has a mission of creating new entrepreneurs up to 2,500 for five years.

"This program of creating new entrepreneurs should be sharpened with effective programs," he said.

Safaruddin said, Banjarmasin is the 349th city Malindo has came to deliver a program howw to process dry product.

"There are some regions we can motivate to progress, such as Bali, Central Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara, that can be emulated," he said.

He advised that the city government to provide easiness for its citizens to do business, so they can advance.

"Simplify licensing, facilitate equipments, help them to market it," Safaruddin said.

He also invited the municipal government of Banjarmasin to dig deeper into the way of developing dry product business by coming to Appropriate Technology Developing Institution of the Indonesian Local Community (LPTTG Malindo) in the North Luwu, South Sulawesi.
