The University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, has many ways of promoting its campus, one of which by partnering bloggers, from among students or general public.
"The availabiity of sophisticated digital technology and social media makes promotion medium nowadays very open and there are many choices, one of which is through blog in cyberspace," ULM Rector Prof Dr H Sutarto Hadi remarked here, Wednesday (Nov 13, 2019).
According to him, the bloggers were chosen for the reason they were guaranteed of maintaining the quality of content and of course were educated.
"A blogger used to be a good writer. We as readers are often treated to a myriad of useful information. So, inspring blogger like this are often visited by netizens," he pointed out.

This is the reason, he added, that cooperating with blogger is the right choice for ULM to promote and introducing its entire progress have been achieved, including of being accredited A by the Higher Education National Accreditation Board (BAN-PT).
"Public need to know that ULM is now the largest state university in Kalimantan with more than 30,000 students and admitted about 6.000 new students every year.

Meanwhile, ULM held Blog Competition 2019 for two categories: public and students. The bloggers were asked to create various contents on the blog by linking the ULM link ulm.ac.id.

The ULM Fourth Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and PR Prof Dr Ir H Yudi Firmanul Arifin, who chaired the committee, told that the enthusiasm of the participants was quite high, reaching 127 participants.

The assessment to the most interesting contents of blog resulted the 1st place for students category was Fatimah, then Ainun Mawaddah Noor in the second, and Nazaruddin Syah in 3rd place, While the general public category placed Muhammad Mahfuzh Sidik as the first champion, Jimmy Ahyani in 2nd, and Diah Mayasari in 3rd place.
