Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - South Kalimantan Governor Rudy Ariffin said residents from this provinces in Egypt, mostly students, are now in a safe condition for their boarding and shelter are away from the location of the conflict.

After the celebration of a Child Day here on Thursday, Governor said, once the conflict broke out in Egypt he immediately phone South Kalimantan student dormitory administrators in the country.

"Alhamdulilah by information all citizens of South Kalimantan in a safe condition, and until now there has been no evacuation orders or returned to Indonesia," he said.

Governor said that currently there are approximately 200 residents of South Kalimantan in Egypt, the average is to seek knowledge and partly for a living.

According to him, in addition to communicate with the residents who live in the dorms, the government also has coordinated with the Indonesian embassy in Egypt to help when things happen that are not desirable.

"Based on information from the embassy, ​​this time they also opened the path for on-line information for all Indonesian citizens in Egypt who want to ask for help," he said.

Thus, he said, for the security services, health and other, relatively guaranteed by the central government through the embassy officials that exist in the country.

Rudy hopes, South Kalimantan residents in Egypt, remain vigilant and avoid conflicts so that the location is not directly involved in the undesirable situation.
