Paringin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Balangan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) appealed to the public to be aware of fire incidents, especially during Ramadan.
The Head of Emergency Section of the BPBD Muhammad Syuhada, Tuesday (7/5), said sometimes residents were less focused because they wanted to quickly carry out congregational worship to mosques and langgar (smaller than mosque).
"They want to quickly go to a place of worship for prayer in congregation, sometimes someone forgets to turn off the stove, either after cooking to iftar, or after cooking for sahur, or even fall asleep," he reminded.
Not only related to fires, it also warns of other dangers, such as theft. He advised that residents ensure the safety of the house before leaving home or before going to bed.
"Make sure the stove is turned off and be aware of short currents from the cable connection. Also, make sure the vehicle, door and window of the house are locked," he said.
Finally, he hopes the residents of Bumi Sanggam (Balangan) carry out their worship safely and comfortably and smoothly, without the calamity that befalls them.
"Congratulations on fasting, Marhaban ya Ramadhan 1440 Hijriyah," he concluded.
