Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The government-owned tap water company PDAM Kotabaru launched an app-based service.
Kotabaru Regent H Sayed Jafar said Monday the local government greatly appreciated the breakthrough made by PDAM Kotabaru. "The development of information technology in the public service sector is a demand," he said.
The launch was marked by the release of balloons into the air by Kotabaru Regent Sayed Jafar at Siring Laut attraction.
Director of PDAM Kotabaru Noor Ipansyah said there is five digitalization of services already running. They are web-based and Android-based applications which cover meter reading, new connection registration, water account billing information, and service complaints.
Next, information system management, billing system, SMS gateway service information, data center, and cash account water management.
"Customers can pay for water accounts at Bank Kalsel, post offices throughout Indonesia, and 121 PPOBs or agents, so there is no need to queue for long at the office," Noor Ipansyah said.
Furthermore, he revealed, there are still many developments to be carried out in the future. Namely, electronic office, asset management, migration of billing systems, customer geographic information systems and pipelines, and payment gateways.
