Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru Regent Sayed Jafar again won the Top Trustee of Regional Government-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) award at the 2023 TOP BUMD Award event in Jakarta, together with the Kotabaru PDAM and PT BPR.
"We thank all the committee members who have given awards to the Kotabaru Regency Government and tapwater company and PT BPR. We dedicate this to all Kotabaru people," said Sayed Jafar in Kotabaru, Wednesday.
The Kotabaru tapwater company (PDAM) received) the 2023 Top CEO BUMD Awards for innovation and performance achievements in digital transformation.
"PDAM Kotabaru was in the assessment of the jury team for one month," said PDAM President Director Tri Basuki in Kotabaru, Thursday.

The award was obtained through a long process, he said, including presentations before the jury, and received a lot of input and direction from the jury to continue to innovate and improve the management.
In the innovation assessment, the Kotabaru PDAM management is considered to be performing well for three years, the water quality is healthy, the PDAM has also transformed digitally to facilitate services to customers.
"We won the third in Indonesia in digital transformation from the PUPR ministry for small-scale tapwater company," he said.
Basuki explained that the company has used a water treatment plant with a command system "Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition" (sekada) with monitoring from distribution, water quality till it reach to customers, as well as daily reports on employee performance to facilitate monitoring of activities with employee duties and responsibilities.
The PDAM also implements billing system that is integrated with eight PDAM branches in the sub-districts.
"We also provide convenience through applications for customers to pay monthly bills," he said.
Basuki thanked the Kotabaru Regent for his role and support until the company achieved the success, as well as the support of the community and various parties to improve the PDAM's performance in serving customers.
He hopes this award will be a motivation to further spur themselves to achieve improvements in the future.
"On behalf of the management, I would like to thank you for this appreciation," he said.
Chief Organizer of TOP BUMD Award 2023 and Editor-in-Chief of Top Businees Magazine M Lutfi Handayani said this activity was in line with the programs and policies of the Minister of Home Affairs in accelerating the development of BUMD performance and the economy in the regions.
"TOP BUMD Awards itself is an award given to the best BUMDs in Indonesia for their achievements, improvements and contributions, both related to business performance, services and contributions to the regional economy," said Lutfi.
