Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Kalimantan Bank Indonesia (BI) team has cruised along the Martapura River from Banjarmasin to the Lok Baintan Floating Market tourist attraction in Banjar District to withdraw unworthy money from traders.
The BI group led by BI Deputy Governor Dedy Budi Waluyo departed from the traditional motorboat kelotok dock in Banjarmasin on Saturday morning. He was accompanied by the Head of BI South Kalimantan Herawanto and the group conducted socialization related to the importance of maintaining the condition of banknotes to remain good and worthy of circulation.
"We want the public to be able to appreciate the existence of paper money while keeping it well and not shabby," he said.
One way is by asking people not to clot money, do not staple or others which makes paper money become flawed.
People must also be able to save money in the proper place, for example in the wallet well and keep it straight.
Likewise, during transactions, people must be able to treat money well.
According to Dedy, the existence of floating cash is to maintain the quality of money in all corners of the NKRI (The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia) and maintain quality and worth to circulate.
"We want money throughout the NKRI to be quality and worthy of circulation so that the dissemination and withdrawal of unworthy money we do it regularly in all regions in Indonesia," he said.
