Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The South Kalimantan Regional Office of Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) continues to disseminate information about immigration as a commitment to clean and serving bureaucracy.
One of them, the Batulicin Class II Immigration Office visited SMK Negeri 2 Simpang Empat, Tanah Bumbu, which accommodates many school students from Sabah, East Malaysia.
"Ex-Sabah students are children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI), the majority of whom work on oil palm plantations in Tawao, Lahad Dato, Sandakan and surrounding areas in Sabah State, East Malaysia," said Chief of Traffic and Stay Permit Dody Cindur Mato.
According to Dody, the children were Indonesian citizens who had previously been accommodated in schools which were fostered by the Indonesian Consulate General in Kota Kinabalu and the Indonesian Consulate in Tawao.
But later because their parents had returned home, they also went back to Indonesia and continued their studies in Tanah Bumbu.
"Immigration class activities in these educational institutions will continue so that the immigration is increasingly known to the public," Dody said again.
On this occasion, Dody explained in detail about Immigration duties and functions, such as passport services, passport application requirements, visas, and immigration law enforcement. Also the socialization of the Immigration Polytechnic (Poltekim) and the video screening of Poltekim cadets' activities.
